Bactrim.
Bactrim (co-trimoxazole) is an efficient medicine used for the treatment of different infections caused by the activity of bacteria. It's therefore not expected to be efficient for the treatment of viral infections. Bactrim, as most other antibiotics, can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Make sure you always wear protective clothing if you have to stay outside for a long time. Other side effects Bactrim can cause include upset stomach, dizziness, spinning sensation, swollen tongue, loss of appetite, joint pain, vomiting, and sleep problems. Any drugs you are using are also supposed to be reported to your doctor –as interactions have been reported. You need to inform your doctor prescribing you Bactrim of the fact of taking or planning on taking seizure medications, diuretics, methotrexate, blood thinners, or ACE inhibitors. Also let your health care provider know if you have asthma, folic acid deficiency, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, kidney disease, severe allergies, AIDS, malnourishment, or liver disease, as those conditions can affect the success of your treatment and a dose adjustment may be required.
